Owner/Founder Tony Inderbitzin founded his business in August 1983. It was originally named Inspector's Paint and Body and located in Glendale. Back then the business was a "one man show." He did everything from the painting and bodywork, to janitorial needs of the business. So Tony has done it all within the collision business. In March of 1988 Tony Inderbitzin relocated his business to the Canyon Country in an industrial park. During his stay there the shop joined a franchise and converted their name to Inspector's CARSTAR. In January of 1994, just before the Northridge earthquake, Tony relocated the store to its present location in Old Town Newhall. That was a big year in Tony's life. First the business was relocated, then the earthquake, then his wife of nine years past away from breast cancer. Yet the sales for that year nearly doubled from the previous year. In 1998 Tony chose to drop out of the franchise and change the name of the store to Insurance Auto Collision Center. Mr. Inderbitzin has extensive industry training. He's attended six of I-CAR's training classes for Collision Repair, Plastics Repair, Steering and Suspension, Electronics, Advance Vehicle Systems, and Paint Finish Matching. He also has attended numerous industry management training available through Carstar, BASF, etc… Tony is a Santa Clarita resident, re-married and has two boys. His hobbies are mountain biking, golf, water skiing, and scuba diving. He is the President of the Newhall Rotary Club, Past President of Le Tip of Valencia business referral club, member of Faith Community Church, Committee Member of the Newhall Redevelopment Committee, member of the California Auto Body Association, and the SCV Chamber of Commerce.
